Flow Water: Minimum Impact, Maximum Hydration

Diet trends are changing constantly. Currently, the diet craze is an alkaline diet. Alkaline diets are all about the PH scale and how the foods you eat rank on that scale. If you need a refresher from your high school science class (and don’t we all), the PH scale is divided into three categories: acidic, neutral, and alkaline.

Acidic foods include meats, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy, and alcohol. Neutral foods are natural fats, sugars, and starches. That leaves fruits, vegetables, legumes, and nuts in the alkaline food group. Water is naturally neutral. However, some water is alkaline, like Flow Water. This makes maintaining a predominantly alkaline diet much easier.

Flow Water is a naturally alkaline, 100% artesian spring water that is economically sourced and packaged in Bruce County, Ontario, Canada. Since the water is gathered from a natural source and filtered in an environmentally friendly way (UV light and double filtration X2), Flow retains it’s naturally obtained alkalizing compounds and is treated free from unnatural chemicals.

What does all of this mean for you and your health?

Our blood is naturally alkaline, but many of the foods we eat are neutral and acidic. Our bodies are designed to remain naturally alkaline and are capable of maintaining it on their own. However, it’s good for your body if you follow a strongly alkaline diet, which involves eating plenty of fruits and veggies while limiting meats and dairy. Since that’s not always the easiest thing to do (or the most delicious), you can easily make a difference for your body by choosing to stay hydrated with alkaline water.

It’s easier on your body and comes packed with the essential vitamins: calcium, magnesium, potassium, and bicarbonate. These are the alkalizing compounds that are naturally found in Flow Water. Of course, choosing to sip on water, in general, also keeps you healthy, hydrated, and energized, especially in the hot summer months.

How does it impact the planet?

We all know that plastic bottles are a big issue when it comes to pollution. Instead of contributing to the problem, Flow chose to use Tetra Pak to package their water. It’s made with 70% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable. It’s specifically designed to maintain the alkalinity of the water, as well.

Where can you find it?

Flow Water isn’t on the shelf of every gas station yet, but it is available at Safeway, Bristol Farms, Earth Fare, Central Market, Jewel Osco, SpartanNash, and Kowalski’s. Alternatively, you can sign up for a subscription so that Flow is delivered to your doorstep as frequently as you want it to be. This makes it incredibly easy for you and is one less heavy item for you to cart around the grocery store every week.

If you’re looking for a great tasting “bottled” water and want to follow an alkaline diet, Flow Water can help make your life just a little bit easier.
