Psoriasis Causes

Psoriasis is a non-fatal disease that can cause a lot of pain and suffering. Nearly 2–3% of the world population are victims of this disease. There are multiple types of psoriasis, but the plaque psoriasis is the most common. Another type of Psoriasis is Guttate psoriasis and it is common in children and adolescents.

What Are Triggers?

There are many causes of psoriasis and its triggers in an individual. Lesions on the skin cause pain and trouble to the patient and it is difficult to bear it. A weak immune system is one of the causes of psoriasis.

Normally our white blood cells attack viruses and bacteria that enter the body, but in the case of psoriasis, these cells attack the victim's healthy skin cells. The combination of new skin cells, white blood cells, and dead cells form a scaly plaque on the on the body. If the parents have suffered from this virus, then their offspring are more likely to get the infection. Persons overweight and with high blood pressure are more likely to suffer from psoriasis.

What Can Cause Psoriasis Triggers?

Lab tests can explain the triggers for psoriasis in a person. Weather conditions also play important role in triggering of the disease. Cold weather conditions and warm weather conditions are both hurtful for the patient of psoriasis. It is better to avoid cold weather conditions and hot and humid conditions.

Stress is quite dangerous for all type of diseases and stress is harmful to the psoriasis patient. If the stress increases,  then the lesions on the skin cause more problems and increase along with stress.

Injuries or cuts to the body can also cause the triggering of a psoriasis outbreak. Some people who may suffer from other types of illnesses can have prescription drugs which can trigger an outbreak.
